There’s even a Camtasia PowerPoint add-in (on Windows) that allows you record with Camtasia from inside Powerpoint. To do this, you could use TechSmith Camtasia, which allows you to record your presentation, or import PowerPoint slides into a Camtasia project. How you decide to capture a lecture will depend on your audience, the style of your lecture or lesson, and the resources you have access to. These captures are usually created using lecture capture solutions such as video management systems (VMS), hardware, or software. Lecture captures can take many forms, from simple audio recordings to full-fledged video productions. ![]() Whether you’re a teacher, student, or business owner, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know to leverage this type of educational video as a powerful learning tool.Īt its core, a lecture capture is a recording of a lecture or presentation that’s made available to learners. We can reduce the amount of work that Splunk needs to do drastically and therefore give it more time for other tasks, such as searching, reporting, alerting and dashboarding by applying the Splunk Best Practices below. So the case for configuring our timestamps is pretty strong. – All of this extra work can clog up a Heavy Forwarder or Indexer in the Aggregator Pipeline (and cost more on a Workload Processing License Model). – Wrong timestamps can also cause Splunk to create unduly-small index buckets, making searches inefficient. – Incorrect timestamps can result in data being aged out prematurely or retained for too long. – The time zone may be wrong (and therefore the event time may be recorded incorrectly). – Running over 30 different REGEX pattern searches FOR EACH EVENT is a LOT of work! – The date may be in a different format than Splunk thinks that it is (such as the Month/Day being switched), although there are some clever checks it does before validating this. – The first timestamp that is in the data may not be the one that is needed. – The timestamp might not be in the first 128 characters of the event. There are a few issues with this behaviour: – Splunk uses over 30 different REGEX patterns to search the event for a suitable timestamp that it can use. – Splunk uses the first timestamp that it finds in the event. – Splunk looks at the first 128 characters in an event for the timestamp. Several things of note about this generic process are that: ![]() Splunk is pretty clever about finding time stamps for its events (because, well, without a timestamp, Splunk cannot organise the data) and so, when it has separated the data into events, it searches each event to find a timestamp. The other great performance boost that we can apply to Splunk data onboarding is telling Splunk about how the timestamps are to be found. ![]() ![]() This collection includes recipes for everything from sides to breads to soups to desserts. Purple sweet potatoes can’t fix all that, but they do contain anti-inflammatory properties that may prove to be helpful.Īs mentioned above, the vivid color of this veggie comes from anthocyanins, a phytochemical that is a powerful antioxidant. Other contributing factors can include lack of physical activity, lack of adequate sleep, stress, and toxins in the environment. Of course, poor diet isn’t the only cause of inflammation. Over time it may increase your risk of type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart and other diseases. They said of Valve, “Goliath does what Goliath wants to do.” They claim SCUF’s CEO informed Valve of the potential infringement in 2014 after seeing the Steam Controller showcased at the CES trade show. RELATED: Pokemon Go Wins Lawsuit Against Cheat Maker Microsoft previously leased this patent for its high-performance Xbox Elite Controllers, according to Law 360. The complaint pertains to the buttons on the underside of the Steam Controller, as Ironburg’s lawyers claim Valve violated a patent for buttons that allow players to use more than just their index finger and thumb to interact with games. Ironburg Inventions, the intellectual property arm of controller manufacturer SCUF, filed a lawsuit in Washington state. However, Valve may have a bigger problem than an underperforming peripheral, as the company is now fighting a lawsuit alleging it stole one tech company’s design feature and used it on the Steam Controller. As an attempt to bridge the gap between PC and console gaming, it fell flat, and Valve discontinued the Steam Controller in 2019.
